When it comes to life safety and property protection, you can’t afford to wait. Our culture of responsiveness starts in our central station, where prompt response time matters. Our sense of urgency also applies to our technicians who will work efficiently to repair your fire alarm system and get your building’s system up and running. We are available 24/7 by phone, website or email and have numerous warehouses that are stocked with equipment to maintain your system. Time is not only money; with life safety and property protection it means a lot more
In today’s world, technology helps drive success. Fire Alarm systems are no different. AFA installs, inspects, maintains and monitors top of the line non-proprietary equipment for our customers but that’s just the beginning. Our Inspection Software provides our customers with approved digital reports for accessibility and convenience. Customers can also request service online using our website.
Using AFA’s Vision Monitoring App, customers are able to take their system offline without operator intervention. Vision Monitoring will also allow customers to securely view their central station account information, update their emergency call list and see all alarm related activity in the building in the palm of their hand. All AFA technicians are equipped with AFA’s Service Tech app which gives our techs access to a digital log of each system’s history, letting them know about prior issues with your system so they can work quicker for you.
Over 145 years of providing fire alarm service to our customers means AFA stands alone when it comes to experience. Our unique process for hiring and training technicians has allowed AFA to distinguish itself from our competition. AFA’s training program is focused on developing technicians’ competency in all areas of system installation, programming, inspection and maintenance.
AFA trains and rewards its technicians to go beyond the norm so they can earn their NICET accreditation, the nationally acknowledged standard recognizing the certified individual’s knowledge of the Codes and Standards with regards to fire alarm systems.
AFA employees don’t just adhere to fire alarm Codes and Standards to help keep customers safe, we also participate in writing the code. AFA has had employees as representatives on multiple national code making committees for over 25 years. We do this to keep up to date with the important issues surrounding the fire and life safety industry and to help us make sure we deliver services that comply with current codes and standards.
AFA offers its customers turnkey fire alarm solutions. We own and operate our own UL Listed, FM Approved and FDNY approved central stations. We don’t outsource our monitoring service. We can clear violations and letters of defect with our in-house expeditors. We can design, budget and build your fire alarm system with our in-house engineers. When it comes to fire alarms systems, you don’t need to go anywhere else.
Lets face it; the bottom line is the bottom line. AFA’s experience and resources allow us to offer better fire alarm service at a great price. Our representatives will work with you to provide the most cost-effective, high-quality fire alarm service solution for the inspection, maintenance and monitoring of your property. Period.
Here are the basics:
a) What is the Make and Model of your Fire Alarm System?
b) What is your building’s Fire Alarm device count? Learning your device count will allow us to accurately provide a quote to inspect and service your building. We are happy
to send someone to do it for you. Our goal is to provide better service at a better rate than your current provider. (If you don’t have the device count, providing your AFA representative with any previous inspection reports or system documentation will also help us provide you with a competitive quote.)
When does your current agreement expire? The details of your current service agreement will determine when you
can upgrade your service to AFA. If your current agreement expires within a year, an AFA representative can provide you with several options to improve service and save money, which could include switching to AFA immediately.
Not to be forgotten, AFA also installs new fire alarm systems. We can either install the system in full or work with the building’s contractor by providing equipment and programming support. Once the system is up and running, AFA can provide the monitoring, inspection and service of the new system.
